Man Detained For Allegedly Criticising Bayelsa Governor On Facebook

A businessman, Tonye Okio, spent his Christmas and will start the New Year at a Bayelsa prison for allegedly criticizing the Bayelsa State governor, Seriake Dickson, on his Facebook account.
Mr. Okio, who was also a former Abuja Liaison officer for Bayelsa State, was arrested on October 26 at his Abuja residence.
He was subsequently blindfolded and driven to Bayelsa by the Special Investigation Bureau, SIB.  The police also stripped Mr. Okio of his mobile gadgets and all postings on his Facebook account, ‘Tonye Okio’, about Mr. Dickson was deleted...continue

Katy Perry: “I Don’t Believe In Heaven Or Hell”

This shouldn’t be news to any of you, after all it’s common knowledge The 29-year-old Pop star Katy Perry has been surrounded by Illuminati rumors.

Although Katy Perry was raised in a devout Christian home, she claims she no longer believes in a single religion in a new interview with the U.S. edition of Marie Claire. Katy Said:

Covenant University (CU) Student Bags Suspension After Being Caught Watching Music Video

There is certainly not going to be an end to the controversies that emerge from Nigeria’s privately owned – especially Christian – Universities. And when it come to controversies one of the universities in the forefront in this regard is no other than Covenant University (CU) in Ogun State.

Reports emerging from the university has it that say that a student of the institution was recently suspended after he was caught watching the music video teaser for Jarmeu’s ‘Booty Bash’. The Covenant University student (identity withheld), was caught watching the nearly x-rated music video of Jarmeu, who is one of Nigeria’s fast rising artistes.
The school, which is owned by Nigeria’s billionaire’s pastor, David Oyedepo’s Winners Chapel Church, as most people might have heard, does not allow the use of mobile phones by its students.

Therefore, when the student’s phone was seized, it was discovered that he had been watching a music video that had the flaunting of ‘booties’, which belonged to Jarmeu. The student was then punished for ‘indecent conduct’ and got suspended from the school by the school authorities.

Moe Musa’s dad died after a horrific car accident in Lagos.

Robber Apologizes, Says ‘Merry Christmas’ Before Fleeing With Cash

‘Tis the season of forgiveness, but cops weren’t too forgiving of an alleged robber in Navarre, Fla., who told a store clerk, “I’m sorry, Merry Christmas” as she held up the store.

Police say the apologetic incident occurred at a Tom Thumb store at about 6:30 p.m. Monday, according to the Northwest Florida Daily News. A woman armed with a handgun walked into the business wearing sunglasses and a black hat, then demanded cash from the clerk, according to cops, and made her holiday-themed apology when the clerk complied.
