A 33-year-old man ha been arrested by the Police in Enugu state for allegedly kidnapping himself and his 6-month-old son.
Solomon Madu who hails from Onoli, in Awgu Council Area of the State hid himself at a location from where he contacted the wife with a distress voice, demanding for ransom. Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, the police spokesman in Enugu State said Solomon handed his son over to a woman in Anambra State for sale. According to Amaraizu, "Solomon Madu on 8/1/14 at about 2 pm went away with the six month old son on that day and suddenly disappeared. "The wife, having waited for some time, became worried and started looking for the husband and the child and when the hope was no longer coming, she went to Awgu police station and reported a case of kidnap of his son and the husband on the ground that they have been kidnapped....continue |
