INEC Declares Governorship Election in Taraba Inconclusive

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has declared the governorship election in Taraba inconclusive.
Mohammed Kyari, INEC Returning Officer for the election, made the announcement on Monday in Jalingo.

I Will Rescue Chibok Girls If They Are Still Alive -- Buhari



Nigeria’s President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has said he will help rescue Chibok girls if they are still alive. Buhari who released a statement today to mark the first year anniversary of their sudden disappearance, is exactly a year today, 14th of April, said Boko Haram will never be tolerated in his Government.

He also promised that even though the sect. says western education is evil, he is ready to send the children in boko haram affected areas to school especially the young girls, so that they can have a sense of belonging, he said.

PDP Governorship Candidate Removes Transformer Donated To Community After He Lost

Buhari Will Reduce Petrol To N40 Per Litre — David-West


Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Prof. Tamunoemi David-West, said that Nigerians should expect sharp drop in petrol price from the current N87 to about N40 per litre, saying, “the president-elect, Gen. Mohammed Buhari, will reduce the fuel pump price to N40 per litre.”


In a telephone interview with Vanguard, the former minister argued that Nigeria produces millions of barrels of crude oil daily, and if properly harnessed will boost the performance of the industry.

Remembering Chibok Girls - one year after they were kidnapped

Today April 14th marks the one year anniversary since the abduction of Chibok Girls. On the night of April 14th, early Tuesday April 15th, over 200 female students were kidnapped from the Government Secondary School in the town of Chibok in Borno State, by Boko Haram militants.
 
The kidnap sparked international condemnation and outrage which gave birth to the famous hashtag, #bringbackourgirls. But 365 days later, our girls haven't been found.
 
219 children have been selected by BBOG group to represent the girls that were kidnapped. They will lead a procession to the Ministry of Education in Abuja this morning
