A 50-year-old Nigerian cook has been arrested for theft of goods worth N50.71 million.
On Tuesday, Jeremiah Gou, who lives at Jeremiah Ugwu Street, Road 47, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, was charged with conspiracy and theft before an Igbosere Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, over alleged theft of jewellery and cartons of milk valued at N50.71 million.
Court records revealed that the accused committed the offences on 25 September at the estate.
He allegedly stole jewellery and 350 cartons of milk, all valued at N50.71 million, property of Mrs Taibat Olanrenwaju.
Gou, however, pleaded not guilty of the offences.
The case was adjourned till 6 November for trial
