Hello intending Otondos and Otondos to be . Batch A 2013 would be off to your nysc orientation camp very soon . So for the love i have for you all as a tiny expert in that area. i would be giving some tips from this post till Monday before you leave.
So Today post is concerning things you just cant live without in camp except you intend on borrowing or stealing?(hmmm) .
1. PHOTOCOPIES OF YOUR DOCUMENTS:

just make up to 10-12 copies of every document required . There would be photocopiers at the nysc orientation camp at maami market but trust me , it is double the price and it saves time. Statement of Result (Original and Photocopies) , School ID Card (Original and Photocopies)

The national secretariat of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the nationwide orientation course for the 2015 Batch ‘A’ corps members will commence on Tuesday, May 5.

Insecurity: NYSC Staggers Orientation Programme for North-east Corps Member

Nigerian graduates, who have been waiting for weeks for their NYSC posting, were disappointed after the Commission failed to release their call-up letters for two days.
According to the NYSC time-table on their official website, prospective corps members were to start printing out their call-up letters or alternatively, pick it up in the schools they finished from, between April 27 and May 4, 2015.
However, as at Tuesday, April 28, the students were still in the dark over which state they will serve.
A message posted on their @nysc_ng Twitter handle on Tuedsday, reads: “Please, PCMs NYSC sincerely apologizes for the delay in the release of the call up letters.Please exercise patience.You’ll get your notification soon.RT”
The 2015 Batch ‘A’ Orientation Course, is scheduled to hold between the 5th and 26th of May, 2015.

An embryonic twin has been find inside a woman's brain while she was having surgery for a suspected tumour. Doctors discovered the twin, known medically as a 'teratoma', complete with bone, hair and teeth, inside the brain of Yamini Karanam.

Yamini sought medical help last September when she began to struggle with conversations and reading. If a couple of people were talking in the room, I wouldn't understand what was happening," Yamini told NBC Los Angeles. "I just didn't imagine any of this"

Doctors were initially unsure what was wrong with the PhD student and performed keyhole surgery in her brain.

That was when surgeons made the amazing discovery and removed the teratoma – Yamimi's twin that never developed.

Yamini, from Indiana, joked that the teratoma was was her "evil twin sister who's been torturing me for the past 26 years".

Dr Hrayr Shahinian, at the Skullbase Institute in Los Angeles, said it was only the second teratoma he had come across out of up to 8,000 brain tumours he has removed.

The Lagos state Police command is currently investigating the mystery surrounding the murder of an unidentified sportsman said to be jogging in the Morogbo area of Badagry in Lagos state on February 26th 2015. According to Punch, Police reports states that the man's corpse was dumped by a bush near Igborosun village after he was stabbed in the stomach and jaw by his murderer/s.

The incident was brought to the notice of the police by a resident of the area, Pastor Stephen Hensu of the Celestial Church of Christ, Okiki Imole branch, Badagry.

Narrating how he saw the corpse, the 50 year old pastor said;

Unidentified gunmen on Tuesday killed Markus Ishaya, one of Governor-elect,Nasir El-Rufai‘s campaign coordinators.

According to Punch, the gunmen trailed Ishaya to his home located in the Atuku Kasa area of Kaduna and shot him to death. The gunmen did not take any of his personal belongings.

South Africa Closes Consulate In Lagos Over Fears Of Revenge #XenophobicAttacks

Following the anti-Xenophobic protests outside the consulate and at the South African High Commission in Abuja. South Africa has closed its consulate in Lagos, Nigeria.

Network24 reports that South African consul general in Nigeria, Sam Monaisa, said in an e-mail to the South African business forum in that country that the closure would remain in force until Thursday.

The Odua People’s Congress (OPC) on Tuesday gave South Africa a 48-hour ultimatum to end the xenophobic violence. The group warned that failure to do so would attract dire consequences.

OPC founder, Fredrick Fasehun, stated this during a press conference in Lagos, Osun Defender reports.

Over 1,000 Immigrants Displaced by Xenophobic Attacks in South Africa Forced to Live in Refugee Camp – PHOTOS

As a result of the ongoing xenophobic attacks in South Africa, over 1,000 immigrants in the country, including Nigerians, have been displaced, and are now forced to live in a makeshift refugee camp located in the Germiston area of downtown Johannesburg.

According to LIB, the camp was set up about a week ago, and lots of small children and pregnant women are among the displaced persons who now live there.

A volunteer, Matthew Mensah, who recently went to the camp to deliver food, released the photos. He is urging people to join him in volunteering by contact him via his Instagram page: @matthewmensah

On Sunday at the Surulere Baptist Church, Ojuelegba Road, Lagos State two unidentified men sneaked into the church premises and abducted a three-year-old girl, Oluwabunmi Ajelero.

It was gathered that the girl was playing with other children on the church premises at about 1pm when the kidnappers came in through the back of the church and tricked her out with Gala, a popular sausage, before whisking her away on a motorcycle.
